Deb Godbout, BU9 Red & BU12 Red Coach

Deb Godbout

Career Summary:

I am a native of Westerly RI, and grew up playing on various soccer organizations throughout the state, including Rhode Island Rays and the Rhode Island Olympic Development Program.  After high school I continued both my education and playing career at the University of Rhode Island from 1998-2002.

While attending URI I began my coaching career with taking various coaching courses and joining the RI ODP staff as an assistant coach.  After graduating I joined the Bruno United staff as well as coaching at my hometown middle school and high school programs.  These teams helped lead to my first college position as Assistant Coach at Salve Regina University.  After two successful years with Salve Regina, I became Head Coach at Newbury College, where I had the opportunity to start and develop the schools first ever Women’s Soccer Program.  I am presently apart of the Providence College Women’s Soccer coaching staff.

I began working with the New England Revolution Academy in 2006 while running the Newbury College program.  I have helped run our summer academies along with working with various towns and clubs for their fall, winter, and spring programs.  In April I became a full time staff member, which has led to many opportunities to observe and be involved with our U15/U16 and U17/U18 Academy teams.
