Deb Godbout

Career Summary:

Steve’s love for soccer began at a young age. His early start helped him to be selected for the Mass District Select program and the Mass ODP team. During his youth soccer career, he was an integral part of one of the strongest clubs in Massachusetts, Inter Boston. Steve had the opportunity to play overseas in Italy, where he played against international competition including teams from Italy, Spain and England.

Steve was the senior captain of the Newton South High School soccer team, where he was chosen as a league all-star. He was then recruited to play at Westfield University where an unfortunate and serious knee injury ended his collegiate career. Even though Steve was injured, he remained an active participant in team work-outs and helped with organizational duties.

Upon graduating from Westfield University, Steve began his coaching career. He has worked with Massachusetts District Select Teams and also worked as the strength/assistant coach for the Mass Bay College Soccer Team. In 2012, Steve joined the New England Revolution Academy coaching staff, where he trains and develops young players at the highest levels.
